Colby Coash joined Nebraska Association of School Boards (NASB) as the Associate Executive Director and Director of Government Relations in June of 2018. Colby will work to assure NASB has a strong voice of advocacy for public schools within the halls of the Capitol. This position allows him to connect elected officials together for the benefit of Nebraska’s children. Colby spent eight years in the Nebraska Unicameral serving southwest Lincoln, where he became known as a Senator who brought people together. His emphasis in his legislative service was in supporting Nebraska’s most vulnerable populations. Colby was born and raised in Bassett, Nebraska where he learned the value of hard work. Colby has made Lincoln his home since attending undergraduate and graduate school at UNL. Colby has worked in the field of leadership development and is an adjunct professor. Colby enjoys working on his old cars and can be found acting in regional movies. He and his wife Rhonda live in Lincoln with their son Cole.
