Candi Wiemers
Candi Wiemers is currently in her 9th school year as Programs & Marketing Coordinator of the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation (GIPSF). She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney and majored in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing and Human Resource Management. Programs Coordinator: Wiemers is responsible for implementing and guiding GIPS Foundation programs including administration of the online scholarship application, classroom mini-grants, and teacher recognition. In 2010, the scholarship application was on paper and the Foundation awarded 98 scholarships for a total of $113,450. Wiemers organized and implemented an online scholarship application in 2011. The online scholarship application aided compliance, delivered actionable data and demonstrated credibility. In 2017, the GIPS Foundation awarded 156 scholarships for a total of $666,808. Marketing Coordinator: Wiemers is also responsible for creating GIPS Foundation print and digital marketing materials. The marketing porfolio includes: alumni newsletters, campaign brochures, banquet programs, annual reports, advertisements, web pages, social media, and anything else the Foundation may need. Wiemers has two children who attend the Grand Island Public Schools. Her husband is the Chief Lending Officer at Pathway Bank.
