Terry Boehm has 30 plus years experience as executive director for three Florida education foundations and raised more than $140 million over his career. This workshop will focus on the intangibles that matter to donors. The success of an organization is more about how it behaves and is often impacted by the perception of donors. The administrative tools and policies that are necessary have more to do with legal requirements and best practices. Having the foundations administrative tools in order is very important, but donor giving is more than order and process it also depends on perception. For a foundation it’s about being known and trusted. You not only need to have your house in order you must also need to be perceived as having your house in order. How your organization behaves and presents itself matters. Terry will cover key concepts that supported his years of successful in development work. Participants will discover ways to better position their foundation for success. One of the take-aways of the session will be a self-evaluation tool (Foundation Report Card). The Foundation Report Card is an executive director’s self-assessment and will focus on concepts that point more to the behavior and personality of the organization as opposed to a check on policies and procedures. The tool will assist executive directors in identifying strengths and areas to improve on. Terry is currently on the board of NSFA and is Past Chairman.
PLEASE NOTE: The webinar begins at 1PM EST/12PM CST/ 11 AM MST/10AM PST.
